Erasmus (1466-1536) was a priest, theologian, philosopher, writer and humanist. His philosophy is mainly about training people in the field of language, behavior and faith. Through his books, Erasmus became an internationally renowned thinker – and therefore an icon of Rotterdam worldwide. The Erasmus route shows the places that remind us of Erasmus and his ideas.
