Erasmus route

Erasmus (1466-1536) was a priest, theologian, philosopher, writer and humanist. His philosophy is mainly about training people in the field of language, behavior and faith. Through his books, Erasmus became an internationally renowned thinker – and therefore an icon of Rotterdam worldwide. The Erasmus route shows the places that remind us of Erasmus and his ideas. You will find many memories and tributes to Erasmus in our city. For example the Erasmus Bridge, Erasmus MC and Erasmus University Rotterdam. But there is more, much more.
